Happy New Year

We partied like rock stars on New Years Eve! First we got some Greek for dinner, then we headed over to the Thie’s. We played cards and made some noise…until shortly after 8pm, then it was home for bed! The girls went to my parents and we went back to our house with some friends to play cards.

Merry Christmas

Christmas morning doesn’t get much better than when you have a 2 year old and 4 year old to share it with!! The girls were so giddy about everything. They would scream in joy about wrapped socks! We spent a lazy morning at home. Daddy was up for presents, made breakfast, then snoozed away his cold on the couch. The girls played with all their new goodies.

Kayleigh of course saw this walking puppy on a commercial and thought it was the coolest thing ever. “Mommy, a puppy you can walk. It is like your BFF walking dog!” Well what is your real dog?? I am pretty sure we can walk her and save the $50, but ok Santa is a sucker.

Taylor got a big girl Cars bike. I love that she loves Cars so much, but also loves Barbie and Princesses. Such a good mix! Her legs a too short but hopefully she will grow into it this year!

The three storey mansion doll house was kind of a big deal! They loved it!! They spent all morning with all their new and old dolls.

After a nice morning at home, we all headed to Gpa and Gma Thie’s house. My parents and my Aunt Jeanne, Rick, and Deidre were all there as well

Poor little Elvis really wanted to get into Taylor’s box of food, too bad it was fake and Taylor wasn’t into sharing!

Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve

We had the family over to our house for Christmas Eve. I had to work but got home in time for…you guessed it- more presents! We opened up presents from our South Dakota relatives and a few from Gma & Gpa Thie and Auntie Maggie & Uncle Mike.

010

Kayleigh was literally screaming when she opened this Zhu Zhu Pet. I guess she really did want it!

011

Taylor loved her Princess Snuggie from Auntie Kari but she was so very frustrated. It kept falling down and is much more practical while lying down not opening a bunch of gifts. But she was determined to keep it on, even if it slowed her down!

012

Kayleigh got a plate of goodies ready for Santa and the reindeer! The presents are all wrapped and ready to go. We are ready for Christmas!!!

Next year when I ask Santa’s elf (aka Daddy) to put together gifts before late night Christmas Eve and he doesn’t listen, I hope he is then reminded of this year. He had a bike and doll house to construct while so sick he didn’t want to move off the couch. He was miserable, but still managed to put together an amazing house and bike (with my help of course).

Grandma Lou Christmas Box

The girls had another mini Christmas tonight. Grandma Lou sent the girls a box filled with goodies. There were presents from her and Auntie LuAnn. They always know exactly what the girls want. I can tell they always think about the girls favorites to get them things they really love. The girls were not into pictures for me but I managed to get a few. I wish I got more of the awesome presents. There were fairy outfits, slippers (Cars and Princess), tooth brush sets (Cars and Princess), books, cookies, cowgirl boots (pink and purple), clothes, movies and other goodies. We definitely had a fun night with all our new things. Thanks Great Gma Lou and Great Auntie LuAnn- we love and miss you lots!!

Gingerbread Fun

Auntie Kristin Wallace and Justin came over tonight. We had a great dinner and then got serious about making an amazing gingerbread house.

Jarecki Christmas

The first round of Christmas has begun. We celebrated Christmas with my parents, Jared, Carrie, and Addie before they headed to Chicago. I find that breaking up Christmas into different sessions is definitely the way to go! The girls are so loved (spoiled) by so many people that it is a bit overwhelming. Today was all about family, play, presents, and of course princesses. I love this age! The girls are so excited about everything! Even the wrapping paper makes them squeal!

Kayleigh’s favorite gift of the night was her Leapster Explorer. It was her “big girl” gift.

The girls struck a pose in their Rapunzel gowns. Then after their bath they all had matching PJs. Taylor refused to get off her bike again for yet another picture.
