Today Kaykay turned 2 1/2! Not too big of a celebration, but we still had fun. I took her to the store and let her pick out something fun to bake. We made strawberry cupcakes with strawberry frosting. That might sound delicious, but neither of us even finished ours. Mommy is sadly no Martha Stewart. We still consider ourselves wonderful cooks! Kayleigh has been helping with dinner lately and loves to help in the kitchen.
Tonight we went out to dinner. Kayleigh got a puppy balloon. She also got chicken fingers that she did not even touch, because Grandma's fillet suited her taste buds a bit better!
Kaykay has her little group of "friends". They sleep with her every night, all tucked in under the covers. She is very meticulous about how they sit and in a certain order. Here she is positioning them to look at the mountains and rabbits with her. Poor Bert would cry every time she would walk away. She would have to go over and rock him, "Stop your crying. I am right her, I've got you," as she sways back and forth. It is so sweet. If only she would give her little sis half that attention.
