Follow up....So Kaykay walked around her dang room for just under 3 hours. She was nice and quiet, but no sleeping. All of her pj's from her drawer ended up in her bed! What a stinker, so much for today's nap!

Taylor & Grandma
There is just something about Grandma Lisa's voice that Taylor loves. She has really started to smile and "talk" these last few days. She is getting a lot more interactive and we are having so much fun!

Party Time!!
On Saturday we celebrated Kayleigh's 2nd birthday. We had a great time and I think she had a lot of fun. Thank you for everyone who came, my mom for helping us put it all together, and of course Jared and Carrie for letting us use their beautiful new house. Kayleigh is not around other children that often and we have a lot of fun seeing that side of her personality. We would never call her shy, but around all those kids she is definitely more of the observer. She had a blast until it was cake time. Then you would think someone was torturing Tinkerbell. When the knife hit the cake she about lost it. She didn't even end up eating any of it! The last two days she has probably told me a few dozen times how she told grandma, "no grandma, no cut, no cut, no knife, no cut my cake!" I think she just thought her Tinkerbell cake was so beautiful she did not want to see it cut into pieces. She loves all of her new toys, books, dolls, clothes, hair things, and movies. Josh and I spent Sunday organizing her toys into big bins in the garage. Each morning I bring a new bin into the house for her to play with. This is working great. She is not overwhelmed by too many toys and it is like new toys each day, not to mention easier clean up. I hope everyone had a good time at the party. Thank you to Shannon for sending me some really great pictures. Kaykay says thank you to everyone as well!!

Kayleigh is 2!!
Today was Kaykay's second birthday! She was acting like a true two year old today. If today was an indicator of the rest of the year- we all better watch out! She was a bit sassy, but I let her get away with it a bit because it was her special day. She woke up and ate her favorites- french toast with dip, eggs with ham and cheese, and oatmeal! Josh had work 9hrs then class 4hrs today, but we did meet him for lunch a Peter Piper. Kayleigh loves pizza and loves playing there. Josh did yell at some highschoolers for using inappropriate language around our kids- I was so impressed, but felt so old. Then it was nap time for Kayleigh, Ernie, and Bert (Mommy too). Grandma Lisa came over after work and took us to Greek for dinner for some Pita and tzatziki. Then for the grand finale we had some chocolate ice cream cones. I can not believe my girl is two! Time is just flying by and we are having so much fun. She talks up a storm and impresses us with new things everyday. She is a smart beautiful little girl that we are very lucky to have as our daughter!

Wisconsin
My parents and I took the girls to Wisconsin last week. We had so much fun! We got frozen custard at Kopps, went to a wine festival, and played with all of our family. Getting there was a bit rough. The airlines did not let us sit together because of oxygen requirements and the DVD battery only last for 2 hours. But we still made it. Kayleigh absolutely loved WI. The weather was perfect, so she spent all of her time outside in the grass. Taylor loved getting to take all of her naps cuddled in someones arms. We got home last night. Kaykay was so dang tired that she feel asleep in her highchair today at lunch. Definitely something that has never happened. We loved getting to see everyone and already miss them. Hopefully they will all be out to visit us soon!
