After our naps, we all headed over to Gma & Gpa Thie’s house for some delicious ham dinner. The girls got Easter baskets and had an egg hunt out back. We played hard until it was dark and time to go home. Kayleigh did great, but definitely needed her breathing treatment at the end of the day. We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Easter Part 2
After a delicious brunch at Jared & Carrie’s we headed out to Rawhide for an egg hunt and a visit with the Bunny. Kayleigh just wanted the candy in the eggs, Taylor wanted to put every egg into her basket, and Addie just wanted to eat the whole egg! Taylor liked the Bunny from a far, but would rather not sit on his lap! They it was back to Addie’s house for some much needed naps. Most of that hard candy disappeared at naptime, sorry girls!
Easter Part 1
Easter morning we spent at home before Daddy had to go to work. The girls found their Easter baskets. They were loaded with new bike helmets, that were designed by myself and Kelsey. We super glued sequins all over with their names on the side. They also got new movies, pajamas, microphones, and drawing boards. I know…no candy, but that’s what grandparents are for. Daddy was off to work and the girls and I got all dolled up for our day. We went to visit Daddy at work before the egg hunt.

Easter Eggs
We colored Easter eggs tonight! Taylor was not so into it at first and just wanted to play with her Papa! My cousin Kelsey was in town for a few days. The girls love her and we always have fun with her. Taylor was a bit congested and tired and not totally herself and Kaykay was still recovering from her hospitalization, so they weren’t exactly 100% but we still had fun.

Easter Package from Gma Lou
We got our Easter package in the mail today from Great Gma Lou. So many goodies we did not even know where to start. There were movies, books, clothes, bathing suits, snacks, cookies and candy. Taylor was pretty impressed with the bubble wrap! We can’t wait to see her in a few weeks!

The Hospital :(
My sweet girl spent some time in the hospital. On Friday night I noticed she had a little dry cough. Saturday we went to the baseball game where she literally rolled in the grass. That night she was really coughing a lot. Sunday morning it was even worse. She could barely finish a sentence without coughing and she was starting to act really tired. I was putting her down for her afternoon nap, went to rub her stomach and noticed she was really trying hard to breath and was retracting. I did not hear wheezing but I definitely did not like watching her. So Jared and Carrie came over to watch Taylor and Josh and I were off to Banner Cardon’s Children’s ER. They put us in a room right away and started breathing treatments. She wasn’t wheezing because she wasn’t moving enough air. She soon had an IV, Oxygen nasal prongs, cont. pulse ox, and EKG leads. She got a dose of IV Magnesium and then we started IV steriods. We were in the ER for a few hours and about 5 breathing treatments with little improvement, so we were admitted. We had every 2 hour breathing treatments and continuous oxygen for the first 24+ hours, then slowly weaned from oxygen and spaced the treatments to every 4 hours. We were there two nights and three days. She wouldn’t eat anything and only drank maybe half of a chocolate milk. We went home with every 4 hour breathing treatments and oral steroids. Kaykay did amazing and we are so proud of her. She was exhausted and moody, but was overall very good. I was rarely allowed out of her bed and she was pretty clingy. Thank you to all of her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, friends and cousins for the visits, presents, watching Taylor, and all of your love!
Thank you to the Freeman’s for her cookie bouquet. She loved them and actually had a bite or two in the hospital, then ate some at home. She also loves her movie and dominos (she beats me almost every time!)

Spring Training
My cousins Anna and Caity were in town for a few days. The girls were in heaven. We had so much fun! Kayleigh loved having them stay with us and spending so much time with them. Gma Gerre and Aunt Jean were in town for the weekend and we headed out to a Brewer game. The weather was great and we had a fun time running around in the grass.

Bike Rides! (finally)
The weather is perfect for riding bikes! One problem…Taylor refuses. We have this trailer cart thing that attaches to the back of the bike. Both girls can sit in it. Kayleigh likes it, but prefers to ride her own bike. Taylor flips out when we even talk about putting her into it. Who knows why? So we just take turns going on rides with Kayleigh and someone stays back with Tay. We saw this bike attachment at the store and decided to give it a try…and she loves it!! She looks so cute too!

Tempe Beach Park
We were all set to go to the zoo today, well so was half of AZ too! So we decided to try Tempe Beach Park for our picnic and play. The splash park is under construction, but we will definitely have to come back for that. We had fun playing with all our good friends. The kids ran around and played with cars. Kaykay and Carter played hide n’ seek.
Here is Miss Taylor and her boyfriend…
Carter was sure to fairly distribute the cars…
