Happy 30th Auntie Carrie

We had a mini party for Auntie Carrie tonight to celebrate her last night in her twenties. We made some lava cakes and sang to her. Kayleigh wrote out her card and I was so proud of her. All the boys were working so it was a fun girls only night! We finished by watching some Christmas shows and cuddling with cousins! We love you even if you are old now Auntie Carrie!!

Gingerbread Men

I volunteered in Kayleigh’s classroom room today. We made Gingerbread Men and guess what…the ran away! We cut them out, put them on cookie sheets, and put them in the oven. When the nice cafeteria lady opened the door then ran out and made their escape. Mrs Real and I walked the classroom to the gym, into the principals office and through the halls, but all we saw was a few crumbs. When we got back to the classroom we found Mrs Rhoades. She caught the gingerbreads and had them ready for us to eat. We made sure to bite off their legs first so they couldn’t run away again!

Elvis has entered the building…

The girls helped Gma Mona and Papa Joe pick out a new puppy today. He didn’t have a name for a while and we came up with a few suggestions but none were right. Then Kayleigh began calling him “The King” so Josh thought maybe Elvis should be his name. Gma Mona is a huge Elvis fan a thought that was a great name! He is a very sweet little lhasa apso. It is so cute to watch the girls take care of him. Kayleigh sang him lullabies to put him to sleep and Taylor would also cuddle him. Welcome to The Thie family Elvis!

The Santa Express

I have wanted a train to go around the Christmas tree for years and Josh brought one home today! The girls helped me put it together. It is so cute and actually goes really fast. The girls were almost as excited as I was.

The Beck Boys

We had some very special visitors today! The Beck family was in AZ and made some time in their super busy schedule to see us. Ethan and Conner are almost 8 months old and so smiley and sweet. We had a very fun visit. Kayleigh spend the afternoon making cream cheese pumpkin cupcakes in preparation for their arrival. Steve made us delicious quesadillas for dinner while the kids got to know each other and Jana and I got to catch up.

Christmas time is here…

I have never had so much fun decorating a tree! The girls loved every minute of it. We had so much fun watching them squeal and giggle picking out ornaments and finding the perfect place to put them. They did a beautiful job and Daddy only had to help with the high ones. We are getting pretty excited about Christmas around here!

Introducing Mrs Jena Brennan

Jena and Sean got married! It was an amazing wedding. So beautiful with so much detail. She had a cookie table set up that I literally had to pull Josh away from. We had to grab a bag of toffee cookies to go! Jena was stunning and had some pretty sexy bridesmaids (Annie and Nerissa). We had so much fun spending time with friends, eating, drinking, dancing, and celebrating with Jena and Sean.  Here are some pictures (the ones appropriate for a public blog anyway)…

Thanksgiving

We went to Jared & Carrie’s house to celebrate Thanksgiving. Everyone was there Carrie’s parents and brother Chad, Josh’s parents, Mike, Maggie, Gia, and my parents. Doesn’t get much better!

The tables looked beautiful. The centerpiece turkeys were filled with chocolates (that Taylor enjoyed all day and into the night). Each girl got her own place setting to keep with markers and a color book. Jared and Carrie each make a turkey. One in the oven and one in the deep fryer. I voted for Jared last year, but Carrie kicked it up a notch and got my vote this year. Both are always delicious.

K Prep Thanksgiving Feast

Kayleigh’s class worked very hard preparing for a very special Thanksgiving feast. Taylor and I went and enjoyed a singing performance, bread, drinks and homemade butter! That’s right the student made their own butter. It was pretty good too!

Both Kayleigh and Taylor love Mrs. Real. As she was reading the kids books Taylor just pops up on her lap so sweet. Kayleigh had to follow.

Daddy had to work and missed the big feast, but we went to visit him at work, so he could see his little pilgrim and indian.

Crafts with Sharon

Sharon requested a little help from the girls in preparation of our Thanksgiving feast. The girls helped make center pieces for the tables. It was a very cute project that the girls had a lot of fun with. The girls just adore Sharon and love spending time with her and creating fun things.
