Jarecki Christmas

The first round of Christmas has begun. We celebrated Christmas with my parents, Jared, Carrie, and Addie before they headed to Chicago. I find that breaking up Christmas into different sessions is definitely the way to go! The girls are so loved (spoiled) by so many people that it is a bit overwhelming. Today was all about family, play, presents, and of course princesses. I love this age! The girls are so excited about everything! Even the wrapping paper makes them squeal!

Kayleigh’s favorite gift of the night was her Leapster Explorer. It was her “big girl” gift.

The girls struck a pose in their Rapunzel gowns. Then after their bath they all had matching PJs. Taylor refused to get off her bike again for yet another picture.

Field Trip

Kayleigh and I went on her first school field trip today. We spent the morning at Stillman Railroad Park. We rode the train, went on the ferris wheel, toured the real train, had a picnic lunch and played! She has such a wonderful class. All the kids are great and the parents are so fun to be around.

Kid of Character Award

Kayleigh got a very big award at school today. Every quarter one child is picked for the Character Counts award and this quarter is Kayleigh! The Kid of Character is a student who shows exceptional character by following directions, listening, respecting others, and being all around awesome! Only 4 students are picked per year and we could not be more proud! Kaykay just loves school. She has never complained about going (unlike soccer). I can’t believe how much she is learning while having fun and making great friends. She knows how to spell all the colors, write her name and all the letters, months of the year, day of the week, and a ton of things I don’t even know she knows! I love to volunteer in the classroom. I get to know the other kids and also see a different side of my girl. She is so calm and such a great student. She really pays attention and is ready to learn. The whole family was proud of her and showed up to watch Mrs Real present the award to her and then go to her favorite place- Chipotle. I bought her a dozen pink roses. One of the first things she said when she saw us was, “I’ve always wanted flowers form Fresh and Easy!”

Happy 1st Bday Hayden!

Sweet Miss Hayden turned 1! And I didn’t get one dang picture of the girl. Please click HERE to see the beautiful girl. I was lucky enough to hold here sometimes so her mommy could take pictures. I had the privilege to see her birth and now cuddle with her at her first birthday. We had a great day with all of our best friends. We made ornament and necklaces, dressed up like Princesses, played on the play set, and spent the day with some of our favorite people!

Happy Birthday Giana

Taylor finally went to the castle!!! When ever we are driving down the 60 and pass Country Club and see Golf Land, Taylor yells, “Castle! Castle! I go there Mama, please?” So when we finally said yes we are going there, she was way excited. It was Giana’s 5th birthday party. Her dad Mike has been Josh’s best friend since elementary school! The kids get along so great and have so much fun together. Kayleigh has told me that she might marry Giana’s older brother Mikey. I did catch him with his arm around her, so we will see what happens:)036 037 039 040

Happy 30th Auntie Carrie

We had a mini party for Auntie Carrie tonight to celebrate her last night in her twenties. We made some lava cakes and sang to her. Kayleigh wrote out her card and I was so proud of her. All the boys were working so it was a fun girls only night! We finished by watching some Christmas shows and cuddling with cousins! We love you even if you are old now Auntie Carrie!!

Gingerbread Men

I volunteered in Kayleigh’s classroom room today. We made Gingerbread Men and guess what…the ran away! We cut them out, put them on cookie sheets, and put them in the oven. When the nice cafeteria lady opened the door then ran out and made their escape. Mrs Real and I walked the classroom to the gym, into the principals office and through the halls, but all we saw was a few crumbs. When we got back to the classroom we found Mrs Rhoades. She caught the gingerbreads and had them ready for us to eat. We made sure to bite off their legs first so they couldn’t run away again!

Elvis has entered the building…

The girls helped Gma Mona and Papa Joe pick out a new puppy today. He didn’t have a name for a while and we came up with a few suggestions but none were right. Then Kayleigh began calling him “The King” so Josh thought maybe Elvis should be his name. Gma Mona is a huge Elvis fan a thought that was a great name! He is a very sweet little lhasa apso. It is so cute to watch the girls take care of him. Kayleigh sang him lullabies to put him to sleep and Taylor would also cuddle him. Welcome to The Thie family Elvis!

The Santa Express

I have wanted a train to go around the Christmas tree for years and Josh brought one home today! The girls helped me put it together. It is so cute and actually goes really fast. The girls were almost as excited as I was.
