I have been trying to convince Kayleigh for years that Daddy makes a way better breakfast than Mommy. But Daddy is not a morning person so usually gives then a bowl of cereal. Therefore, Kayleigh always insists I make her breakfast. One day Daddy made her eggs and she realized I am right. She now will bug him to always get up and cook for her. He also lets them help crack the eggs, which they love!

Caught in the act…
…AGAIN! I must say I am really loving when these two get along!! Slowing but surely they are becoming friends! I think now that Taylor is old enough to really play (and follow Kayleigh’s orders) they are starting to have fun with one another. Tonight I got home from work a bit early. I was doing some dishes and they were watching a movie. I looked over and spotted this…
I {heart} my girls!!

Amococo
Gma Lisa took us to Amococo today. This is an exhibit at Mesa Center for the Arts. Amococo is the most labyrinthine luminarium, featuring as it does 86 triaxial domes and 71 pods that together create a complex of pathways where the visitors may happily lose themselves! The tunnels had different colors and different temperatures. The girls had fun running around and exploring. They weren’t ready to leave. That is until they heard “Chipotle” and then they were set.

Addie’s New Big Girl Room
My Mom and I spent the day getting Addie’s big girl room ready! Carrie watched the girls, while we painted the room pink! (I think Carrie had the harder job!) Then I put her toddler bed together. The girls were so excited and I think Addie really likes it! She is still in her original room. But her Gma Sharon is coming to visit soon to help get her Tinkerbelle room ready. Then it’s time for baby sister to come!

Ostrich Festival
We ventured out to the Ostrich Festival today! The petting zoo was a big hit! We cheered during the ostrich races and even saw a Sea Lion show at the end of our day. Last year we did the over priced unimpressive rides, but this year we were smart and stuck with the free shows- and had even more fun!
Our three little trouble makers…
I think Kayleigh was the only one who was able to pet the baby goat. It would just lay in the center of the cage. But after a few minutes of Kayleigh kneeling down and talking to it, she finally coaxed it over. She was so excited. She has a special bond with animals, I will never understand.
Look how tired Kayleigh looks on Papa’s shoulders. We had to hold them up because it was a bit crowded for the Sea Lion show. My poor Dad’s back was a bit stiff after the show! Great Day!
Oh! Today was also our wedding anniversary! 7 years was celebrated with hot dogs and french fries before he had to take off to work. The romance never dies!

We have had enough!!
We have been avoiding this for too long! We finally took a deep breath and decided it was time to be done with diapers and pull ups! When your two year olds tells you she needs to potty in the middle of the store and you think “just pee in your diaper!” it is probably time to think about potty training. For a few weeks now Taylor Mae has been wearing her big girl undies when we are hanging out at home and doing pretty good. But when we go to run errands or leave the house, we always turn to diapers. We were referred by a friend to the 3 day potty training book. It is a really good guide, but says to toss all diapers- even at nap and night!! Kay is still wearing a pull up at night. I wasn’t ready for this. Josh said it was all or nothing, so here we go! They next 3 days of our lives will be dedicated to Taylor and not leaving the house. She will hopefully learn when her body tells her it is Time to Use The Potty!!!
I just love when little girls start wearing their undies. Sooo stinkin’ cute! She will pretty much only wear boy undies. She wants Cars and Toy Story and we can not find those in girl undies. I actually like the boys better. They are thicker and have thinker trim, so they don’t ride up her little butt. Wish us luck on this new step!

To Infinity and Beyond
Taylor absolutely loves Toy Story. She has most of the characters and sleeps with them every night. One night, Papa Mike began talking for the toys and playing with Taylor and she had a blast. Now if you are sitting on the couch, she will come up to you with her toys and the sweetest face ever and say, “you play with me please?” How can you say no to that? It is so fun to watch Daddy play with them. He will actually say their lines from the movie and Taylor loves every second of it! Taylor will talk right back to them like they are really talking to her and they are the best of friends!

Spring Carnival
We headed out to support August Ranch Elementary school today. This is the school in our neighborhood and is where Kayleigh will attend next year. They had a mini-carnival today with a ton of bouncies set up and a variety of vendor booths. There were a few booths with homemade hair clips that I just couldn’t resist. I bought a few from some jr high girls that made bows that were the school colors – super cute! Then we had an over priced hotdog and called it a day! I love neighbor hood activities! It really gets me excited for when the girls are in school and I can be involved in more activities!
Saturday Morning Cuddle
My girls can be very affectionate…just not so much with each other. This morning I found them cuddled up on the couch watching cartoons! So sweet, kinda wish they were like this more often!

So Graceful…
Another session of Kayleigh’s dance has come to an end, which means another entertaining recital! This class was ballet, jazz, and tap. They danced to Walk like an Egyptian, Mulan’s Reflection and Cruella Devil.
Kayleigh really gets into character and is quite into her facial expressions…
Taylor shook her booty in her seat watching her big sis and then gave her a rose at the end!
We are proud of our little dancer!
