Taylor's First Birthday!

My sweet Taylor Mae turned one!! This year has flown by so fast. Taylor is my cuddle girl and such a sweet love. She can take a few steps on her own now, but still prefers to crawl. She can say: hi, bye, mama, dada, kaykay, ball, bird, gaga, papa. She weighed in at 20lbs at her one year visit. It has taken some work getting her to eat. She does not love food, but still nurses like a little piggy. We are really working on getting her to eat actual food more, throwing it on the floor or chewing than spitting does not count. Every once in a while she will give me a treat and sleep thought the night, but more often still wakes up to cuddle and nurse once or twice. She remains a mama's girl, which I think makes daddy is a bit jealous. But Kaykay is still a Daddy's girl for sure. She is so happy and smiley. She really completes our family perfectly!
We spent her actually birthday at Disneyland. Then we had her party the following weekend. We celebrated with family and our friends. Great Grandma Lou even flew in for the party. We had fun with presents, cupcakes, and swimming. Thanks to everyone for making the trek out to my parents. It would not have been a party without all of you!

Disneyland

We just got back from our vacation to California. My Uncle Mike and Grandma Lou live by Disneyland, so we decided to go for the week. The car ride there was not too bad. I love car DVD players! Although we had to watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua the whole ride there and back! Never mind the fact I bought like 50 different movies. We went to Disneyland on Tuesday June 23rd. Miss Taylor's first birthday!! I grew up in elementary school living in Orange County, so we would go to Disneyland all the time. My Grandma Lou used to take all the cousins. I have so many wonderful memories of Disneyland and it was so special for me to take my daughter there. I loved seeing my girls experience the things I loved when I was little. It was a beautiful day and we could not ask for better weather.

We stood in line 2 hours (yes 2 hours) to meet the Disney Princesses. Definitely worth the wait! Kayleigh was mesmerized by the beautiful princesses and the gorgeous gowns. She got to talk with them and take pictures with them. Every princess and the fairies were so amazing. They talked like the animated characters and were so sweet. Kayleigh asked Ariel where Flounder and Sebastian were and made her laugh. Ariel told her, "I love you princess," and Kayleigh was in heaven.

Tinker Bell told Kaykay that Kayleigh must be a animal fairy, because she had monkeys on her shirt and ladybug earrings. Kayleigh loves animals so loved to hear this.

We had front row seats for the parade. Kayleigh got picked to dance in the parade! I was sure she would be too shy and say no way. But the little thing shook her little butt so cute. Then she was given a little drum to bang at the end also. All the characters came right up to her.

Everyone who goes to Disneyland has to get a mickey ear hat. Kayleigh's said Princess Kayleigh on the back and Taylor's says Birthday Princess Taylor.

Another special memory of mine is Disney Churros! Love them and have to get one every time!

Princess Kayleigh in front of the castle. I remembered it as being so much bigger. But I think she was still impressed.

We have the same picture of Jared and me trying to pull out this sword when we were little. I should try to find it!

It was a perfect family vacation and I think we all had a wonderful and exhausting time! Thank you to Grandma Lisa for everything. I don't think we could do it all without her! Thank you also to Uncle Mike and Gma Lou for letting us invade your home! We love Disneyland!

My Little Olympian

Gma Mona bought this adorable new leo for Kaykay! I just thought she looked so cute. After I did her hair she was looking at herself in the mirror. "Mommy, I think I maybe look too fancy!" She did an awesome job at gymnastics also. Maybe we will be ready for London!

Best Friends

Okay so maybe not best friends (not yet anyway), but I did manage to capture a rare moment of play today. I think when I ignore them they actually get along better. Yes Miss Taylor is a monkey and climbs on everything. She fell off that chair shortly after the picture, cried, then climbed right back up!

I know the girls are always naked. But whatever, it is summer time. I am sick of watermelon all over their clothes. Kayleigh just knows to strip down at food time these days!

Happy 30th Mother Tucker

We celebrated my dear friend Kristi's 30th birthday this weekend. The celebration began poolside at the Biltmore. We relaxed with mojitos in the sun. Then it was off to Postino's for some wine, dinner, and of course dessert. We then went back to our Biltmore suite. It was a much needed girls' weekend for everyone. We all laughed at how different a 30th bday is than a 21st birthday. Us moms can't quite hang like we used to, but we still had fun! I love you Kristi!!

Daddy's lil' helper

This morning Josh switched out the faucets in our bathroom and Taylor gave him a hand. She loved to watch him and be in the middle of it all. She also got a kick out of all the goodies that were under the sink. She would pick up all the bottles and say, "Ooooo!" She had that cute little open circle mouth.

Our Little Vampire

She is seriously so so cute! Poor sweet girl's four top center teeth are all coming in at once. I know- give the girl a break! Well the outer two are coming in a bit faster so she looks like a little vampire. Everyone knows how hard it is to get good teeth pictures, but you can kind of see them. They are all pretty much through the skin now so poor babes is not so crabby and the nights are getting better. We just giggle every time she smiles and we can see her little fangs!

Memorial Day

Hope everyone had a nice holiday! We are definitely summer girls. Our favorite things about summer are: family, sun, fruit, swimming, popsicles, wagon rides, cousins, bbq, chocolate mousse pie, relaxing, getting tan, and playing all day until you drop! Everything we did today!

These rabbits are all around my parents desert neighborhood. My mom hates them, but the girls and I love to watch them hop around.

Both girls love bath time. Taylor is obsessed with trying to drink the bath water- yuck!

Warning!

Let these pictures be a warning to all of the scorpions that think they can invade our home. We have tons of shoes and we are not afraid to use them. If we find you in our home your fate will be that of your friend pictured above!
I HATE scorpions. We have been finding them occasionally in the house. A few weeks ago there was a big one on the wall above Taylor's crib! We have a bug guy that comes every month, but they are still here. We were outside a lot today and the back door was open and shut a lot. This was right were we found this monster, after the rain. They make my skin crawl!
