Kaykay is 3!

My big girl is 3 years old! She is getting to be such a little girl, no longer a toddler. We had a day filled with swimming and family. Josh, with the help of my dad and Rick, put together the girls swing set. All the grandparents and AZ aunts, uncles, and cousins were there. We also had out of town visitors here. Both great grandmas, cousin Deidre, and Auntie Jean and Rick. We grilled up some polish sausage and brats Gma Gerre brought from WI. Auntie Maggie and Uncle Mike gave Kaykay a new pink harmonica which she loved.

Kayleigh and her special bday cupcake. Auntie Maggie bought a puppy candle that looked liked Sissie and Kayleigh thought was the coolest thing.

This picture shows Kayleigh's love of cards, especially when they play music. So much thought went into her gift (notice it on the floor) but she was most excited about her Aurora card that played The Sleeping Beauty song.

Kayleigh keeps us on our toes for sure. She always makes me laugh. I am in constant amazement with her vocabulary. I of course think she is the smartest thing ever. She loves to sing, swim, and play outside. Her favorite thing is her dog Sissie. She loves to quote movies-all the time. Her favorite movies this week are Kung Fu Panda and Finding Nimo. Her all time favorites are Frosty the Snow Man and Santa Clause is Coming to Town, which are played all year round. She is doing great at using the big girl potty and loves to pick out what undies she gets to wear each day. She is definitely a daddy's girl. Her favorite foods are burritos, cinnamon rolls, and of course chocolate. Kaykay dresses up like a princess everyday and often times we will run our errands with her dressed like Aurora, Ariel, or some princess. I could not imagine my life without her! Happy birthday my big 3 year old, I love you!!!!

Play room wall #1

The first wall of the girl's play room is complete. It is truly amazing. Every time we go upstairs the girls have to peek in to see the princesses. Okay I have to peek in also because I just like to stair in amazement. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but the sand is very textured and looks real. My friend Stacie is the master mind behind this. She is so dang talented! She can be hired for your rooms also- but not until ours is done:)

Pudding Fun

Auntie Carrie and her wonderful mommy Sharon came over to visit. Kayleigh was SO excited. She always talks about how much she loves and misses Sharon. Sharon brought the girls some really cool books that they love and some cute new jammies. Then after dinner the girls got to do a little craft. Sharon taped down some wax paper and they finger painted with chocolate pudding. They drew shapes and animals. Such a yummy art project!

Date with Baxter

Papa Mike and Gma Lisa arranged an awesome night at the Dbacks game for all of us. We sat in the all you can eat area. Which means Kaykay had two hot dogs and all the popcorn and peanuts she could handle. Kayleigh is a huge dback fan and her favorite dback is Baxter. I leaned in front of her at the game and she got all huffy with me, "Mommy! Move! I can not see the field, move so I can see the game!" Thank you so much to Papa Mike for taking us out for such a great time!

Auntie Maggie's Baby Shower

This weekend we had Auntie Maggie's baby shower. We are so excited to meet baby girl Gia. If all goes as scheduled she will be here August 31! That is a special day because it is Josh's bday and Maggie & Mike's anniversary. Maggie looked beautiful and is such a cute pregnant girl! Of course most of my pictures are of the girls- the center of attention at any party.
The girls were Auntie Maggie's helpers opening her gifts.

We could hardly keep the girls off the stairs.

Me, my girls, and Calli Kay

Kaleigh looked beautiful and so grown up.

This is pretty much the only picture I could get of all three girls. Does not seem like it should be that hard, but trust me I tried every bribe there is and this is all I get.
We love you Auntie Maggie!!!

Family Time

The Schmitt family came into town last Tuesday. Josh's sister Jenny, bro in law Mark, nephews Andrew & Lukas, and niece Calli. It was nearly impossible to get these girls to take a picture together and forget about trying to get Kayleigh too! Grandma Mona got them to stop for a minute for the camera with the help of some yummy cheese puffs!

The girls "playing"...

Calli is two weeks younger than Taylor. She is such a little lover girl. She would constantly give everyone hugs and kisses. She actually knocked Taylor to the ground with such a sweet kiss and hug- too cute. She can walk like a little superstar. Taylor could actually take a few steps before they got here. Today they left and Taylor is now walking across the entire room. Calli had to show her how it is done!

Happy Independence Day!

We had a pretty low key July 4th. Great Grandma Lou was in town, so we got to spend some fun time with her. We were all in bed before the fireworks!

Thank you Auntie Kristin for this cute dress.

ps If you are wondering why no pictures of Miss Kayleigh...."I just don't want to take pictures today!" There you go. She did however have a cute red, white, and blue dress on and her hair was done like Taylors!
