Flagstaff/Sedona

My wonderful parents sent Josh and me on a little weekend get away for my birthday. We drove up to Flagstaff in the morning. We spent the day walking around, having a great lunch, and going to the fun little shops. That night Josh took me to the Lowell Observatory to look at the stars. It was all Josh’s idea! I was very impressed. Then we went out to a yummy steak dinner and got a tasty “gang buster”.

After a delicious breakfast at an award winning diner, we headed over to Sedona. My parents booked us a Pink Jeep tour and lunch over looking the red rocks to follow. We took a zillion pictures of the amazing scenery.

We had a blast on the jeep tour! The tour guide was great, it was beautiful out, and we really had to hang on to our seats.

We spent the rest of the day walking around and enjoying Sedona and each others company. We of course had to get some homemade ice cream and fudge. It was so relaxing and a few days that we really needed. I missed my girls like crazy! I knew the were having a blast with the grandparents, but we still talked about them the whole time. My parents are the best and I am so very thankful to have them!

Good bye 20’s, Hello 30’s!!

Happy 30th to me! I had a great day! We went to Chipotle for lunch (Kay and my fav). I got to spend the afternoon with Josh and my girls. Then my parents took us out to dinner at Oregano’s. Carrie, Addison, Sharon, Kristin and Justin all met us there. Didn’t really take many pictures. We were too busy enjoying pazookie and bellini!

Cuddle Bug

Taylor is such a sweet little cuddle girl. Tonight we watched movies with Great Grandma Gerre. I think they both looked pretty comfy!

Desert Breeze

We spent the morning with Auntie Carrie, Sharon, and Addie at Desert Breeze Train Park. We attempted to feed the ducks, but after the multiple bird attacks we gave up. There were swarms of birds and I was literally screaming because they flew inches from our heads. It was so funny, but a bit frightening:) We spent the rest of our time in the awesome play areas and eating our picnic lunch!

Halloween 2010

I have officially became a fan of Halloween! It has never really been my holiday. Even when I was little, I didn’t like dressing up and never had that much fun. But now that I get to celebrate it with my girls, I really had fun! Usually Josh works Halloween. So I get the girls ready, go to Gparent Jarecki’s, go trick or treating at Jared and Carrie’s house, stop by Gparent Thie’s house, visit Daddy at work, and go a bit crazy with two candy crazed monsters. This year Josh and I both had off and decided to just have everyone over to our house. We decorated the front yard with lights, pumpkins, and tombstones. We set up chairs, tables, and a fire pit in the driveway. There were tons of people out and we all had a great time!

If you know my girls, you can probably guess who’s pumpkin belongs to who. ..

Gia looked adorable and wore the same costume Kayleigh wore when she was the same age.  Cute little bug…

Addie was a fairy and Taylor was a butterfly. Both were beautiful in purple!

Then there is my sassy little Kayleigh. She picked out a cute Alice in Wonderland costume. But then she saw this genie costume and her whole face lit up. “Mommy! That is the most beautiful costume I have ever seen in my life!” So she was then a genie. We had the perfect matching leo to wear under, so that her whole belly didn’t show. She wore it to her school party but said it was more comfortable not to wear it. So she showed a bit of skin. Makes me worried for what she picks out when she is a teen! She didn’t even know I was taking this picture. She was just walking with her hand on her hip, sassy little thing!

Kayleigh was in charge of handing out the candy. I think this way she could also sneak a few pieces!

036

This is Taylor trying to fly! Then Gma Mona came over dressed as a witch. Kayleigh thought she looked really cool, not sure Taylor loved it!

My mom surprised me with a Nothing Bundt Cake, which is like heaven in the form of food. We did a little early birthday celebration for me. My girls even helped sing Happy Birthday and blew out the candles. Such a fun night!!

Carter is 7!

Happy Birthday Carter! I can not believe he is already 7! I remember his baby shower. The celebration was at Makutu’s Island! I was a bit nervous at first. Kayleigh was out of sight in no time. I knew she could not leave the place, but I just pictured her at the top of the play thing, stuck, crying, not being able to get down. Josh and I looked for a good 10 minutes for her. Finally I looked up and saw her like 30 feet above me yelling “mom!” OMG, baby are you OK?? “This is awesome! I love this place!!!” Guess she is older than I think and is having a blast! Taylor hung out with GG in the littler kid area and loved looking at the fish.

Taylor is such a little mommy and loves babies. She was giving Sam some kisses…

Happy birthday Carter. You are the most awesome 7 year old we know!

A Devilish Homecoming

We joined the Freemans at ASU this morning to enjoy the Homecoming parade. This was our first year going, but it will have to become an annual event. We set up some chairs, had some snacks, saw Sparky, ran after candy, and played with friends.

K Prep Halloween

I volunteered at Kayleigh’s school today. Today was their Halloween party. We decorated the classroom and all the kids wore their costumes. We went trick or treating to different classrooms then came back to our party. We had different fun centers set up. I helped with the witches hands (gloves filled with candy corn and popcorn). We also had owl smores, candy, reading, ping pong ghost toss, and pumpkin decorating. I love Kayleigh’s class- the teachers, kids, and other parents are all great! For those who know Kaykay, you know she is a little spitfire that always has an opinion and something to say. I get to see a different side of her at school. She is very well behaved, listens to everything, loves to learn, and does not talk out of turn. I am so proud of her!

My Little Baker

Gma Lou sent us home with some Halloween cupcakes and today was the day we made them. Kayleigh loves to bake!! She is very patient and follows all the directions very well. She even knows not to eat the batter, because it has germs from the eggs! I know- I am no fun! I did let her sneak some frosting!
