Playhouse Disney Live

Kayleigh went to her first show last night! My mom took Kayleigh and I to Playhouse Disney Live. It was so cute and we had so much fun. This was our only picture because the camera battery died. Kayleigh sat in her own big girl chair and watched the entire show with wide eyes. She was so good. She wished Pluto and Buster were there, but still loved seeing all of the other characters. As they were doing "roll call" and introducing the characters she yells, "Momma where's Pluto?" It was so cute to see all of the families there, we even ran into the Glassmans. Thank you Grandma Lisa for taking us and to Papa Mike for getting the 3rd row tickets- we loved it!!

Joys of Breastfeeding

I was able to capture this tender moment between Kayleigh and Ernie today. As many of you have heard Ernie will cry often because he wants milk (as Kayleigh tells us). She is always sticking her food and drink into his mouth, but one day she said he wanted milk. I was thinking she would, like always, just stick her cup in his mouth. This time she lifted up her shirt and placed Ernie's head kind of by her belly, held it there for a few seconds, then said "All full Ernie? Good job!" Such a good little Momma. We asked her if Bert gets milk and she looked at us like we were crazy, as if she would nurse someone elses baby!

I just thought this picture was dang cute. I bought these boots on sale almost two years ago and forgot about them. She found them in her closet this morning and fell in love.

Good Night!

Ernie Baby

Kayleigh has a new cousin on the way. She has named her cousin Ernie and when asked if it is a boy or girl she says it is an "Ernie Baby." I don't know that Jared and Carrie have a list of names yet, but I think Ernie is a favorite. We are all so excited!! Kaykay talks about it all the time.

Big Girl Bed

The time has come... my first baby is in a big girl bed! Little monkey learned how to climb out of her crib, so Daddy had to convert it into her toddler bed yesterday. She was really excited about it. She slept great last night. We put a mesh bed rail thing on the front because she is such a mover and would probably end up on the floor. She is "napping" right now. A few minutes ago I heard her shut her toy box that holds all of her blankets, so I went in and told her to stay in her bed. Her bed now has about eight blankets in it, but whatever! This all started because she was becoming the queen of stalling before bedtime. "Just one more book and I no cry," was what we heard about a dozen times. Then we would finally walk out of the room and she would scream her head off for more books. Well on Wed night as I was walking out of her room she proceeded to hop right out and I caught her half way out of her crib. She did this about three more times. I caved and read all her stinking books, so she would calm down and not break her neck trying to jump out. The next morning she told her Daddy, "I be naughty. I climb out of my crib. I cry like a baby. Mommy say no no. Kaykay say more books, more books. I be naughty!" She told us the story quite a few times. I would rather forget the screaming episode- I am sure there are more where that came from!
Follow up....So Kaykay walked around her dang room for just under 3 hours. She was nice and quiet, but no sleeping. All of her pj's from her drawer ended up in her bed! What a stinker, so much for today's nap!

Taylor & Grandma

There is just something about Grandma Lisa's voice that Taylor loves. She has really started to smile and "talk" these last few days. She is getting a lot more interactive and we are having so much fun!

Party Time!!

On Saturday we celebrated Kayleigh's 2nd birthday. We had a great time and I think she had a lot of fun. Thank you for everyone who came, my mom for helping us put it all together, and of course Jared and Carrie for letting us use their beautiful new house. Kayleigh is not around other children that often and we have a lot of fun seeing that side of her personality. We would never call her shy, but around all those kids she is definitely more of the observer. She had a blast until it was cake time. Then you would think someone was torturing Tinkerbell. When the knife hit the cake she about lost it. She didn't even end up eating any of it! The last two days she has probably told me a few dozen times how she told grandma, "no grandma, no cut, no cut, no knife, no cut my cake!" I think she just thought her Tinkerbell cake was so beautiful she did not want to see it cut into pieces. She loves all of her new toys, books, dolls, clothes, hair things, and movies. Josh and I spent Sunday organizing her toys into big bins in the garage. Each morning I bring a new bin into the house for her to play with. This is working great. She is not overwhelmed by too many toys and it is like new toys each day, not to mention easier clean up. I hope everyone had a good time at the party. Thank you to Shannon for sending me some really great pictures. Kaykay says thank you to everyone as well!!

Doctor Day

Today we took the girls to the Doctor. Kayleigh had her two year visit and Taylor had her two month visit. Both girls did outstanding. Kayleigh did not cry after her shot and even got a sucker and stickers. Kaykay was very proud of herself. Taylor cried a bit but only for a minute. Kayleigh weighed in at 24 pounds and Taylor was 12 pounds. Both girls are napping now. I think they were tuckered out after such a busy morning!
