Nap time is always interesting with Kaykay. So today I go in her room after her "nap"...
Kayleigh: Mommy my nose hurts, there is a booger (at least I think she is saying booger) way up in my nose.
Mommy: Let me see. (Looking all the way up her nose and seeing nothing at all.) Honey just wait and it will come out.
Kay: But it kinda hurts. I tried to blow it out, but it is stuck.
Mommy: I don't even see it. Just leave it alone.
Kay: But I shoved it way in there.
Mommy: Wait. What? What did you Shove?
Kay: (more clearly) The BUTTON!
OMG! We go to the bathroom and I tilt her head back and see nothing. The thoughts in my head with a tweezers in my hand.. okay so I could try with this tweezers and get it out, or I could accidentally shove it further into her brain, I could go to the ER myself with two kids as Josh is at work and come home with all of us with swine flu! Here goes nothing. I can maybe see the edge of the button. Kayleigh is very calm because she just wants it out. I lean her far back and in goes the tweezers. I feel like the game Operation as I try not to touch her or the tip of the button. Well I got it out!

After I told Josh he responds, "Did you explain to her that we don't put things in our nose?" Sure didn't! I actually walked her around the house pointing out small objects that she could lodge into her nose, but told her to only do this when Mommy is at work and Daddy is watching you. Seriously Josh, give me some credit. Of course I explained not to shove things in your nose!
