Valentine's Box

Great Grandma Lou is the greatest!! She is always sending the girls boxes full of goodies. Tonight we got our Valentine's Day box. It was loaded with wonderful things. Homemade cookies, chocolate, gummies, books, and stickers. The girls were literally squealing with excitement. Kayleigh kept yelling "Dig in! Dig in!" She later told us, " I was like totally freaking out opening the box." She was right, she was! Thank you GGma Lou, we love you!!

Little Ballerina

Kayleigh started her new dance class tonight. The first half is ballet and the last half is jazz and tap. She looks so adorable in her ballet slippers and her tap shoes. So right when we get there the teacher announces that no parents allowed! We had to go outside the room and just watch through a window. She said the kids behave and pay attention a lot better without parents. I completely agree, but I still like to watch. Kayleigh did great and learned "first position". I love taking her to different places with different kids. She does not often get to play with children her own age so I think this is very good for her. Next session I think we might do a music class with Taylor. Five more weeks until her big recital!

Sydney's 4th Bday Party

Today we drove out to the west side for Kayleigh's good friend Sydney's birthday party. It was so funny getting ready. Kayleigh wanted to make sure she wore something Sydney bought her and told me to do her hair the way Sydney would like it. It was a swim party, so Josh was the chosen one to swim with the girls. I got to chat with my friends on the other side of the glass window. I love birthday parties that are for the kids and the mommies!
Josh trying to regulate as the girls fight over a toy, like always...

Sydney's new baby sister Hayden...

Baby Kate...

Sydney making a 4yr old wish...

Present time...

This was so sweet. Taylor's bracelets kept falling off and sweet Carter would help her put them back on...

Kayleigh was worn out on the drive home...

Thank you Shannon and Sydney for a great party!

My Attempt to Cook!

Kayleigh is a big breakfast person. I got this recipe for Monkey Bread from a friend at work a few weeks ago and have been meaning to try it. This morning Kayleigh and I woke up really early, so ventured out in the rain to the grocery store for ingredients. She helped me make everything and loved being my helper. It was full of cream cheese, walnuts, sugar, brown sugar, butter...just a healthy meal! So we put it in the over and could not wait to enjoy. After a few minutes, I hear Kaykay "Mommy! Look at all the smoke in the kitchen. Is the house on fire?" Probably because that is how well I cook. It said to use some fluted whatever pan, as if I had that. So I put it in my cheese cake spring thing pan. Apparently that was the wrong choice. Some of the sugary juices drained out and started quite the smoke plume in my kitchen. I just put a baking sheet under and it helped. The finished product was wonderful. So yummy and obviously easy if I were able to do it and not start a true fire.

Happy Birthday Auntie April

Auntie April turned 37!! We had a fun little party for her. The girls love their Aunt April. Her room is completely full of toys and games she has collected over the years. The girls have so much fun playing in there with her!
Birthday Queen April...

April loves loves Michael Jackson, so i thought this shirt would be perfect...

She was nice enough to let Kayleigh help her blow out her candles. We lit them again for her to do on her own, to make her own bday wish...

My piggy girls could not wait to dive into that chocolate cake...

Taylor is quite fond of chocolate...

Happy Birthday Auntie April! We love you very much!!!

Disney on Ice

My parents bought us tickets for Disney on Ice again this year! This year Taylor was old enough to come too! We went to the preshow that showcased the princess gowns and Cinderella and Princess Tiana were there.
Me and my girls, Taylor is amazed by Cinderella and won't look away...

Gma Lisa was a sucker and got her a Tinkerbell snowcone cup...

Gma Lisa also got the girls these Tinkerbell spinning glowing things.
Kayleigh was really excited for the show to start...

We sat in the 4th row. Do you notice Tinkerbell flying in the middle/left of the picture...

At the end fairy dust (confetti) fell on all of us. The girls thought it was really fun...

Kaykay didn't want to leave...

Taylor did great considering she is little and we went at nap time!

Thanks Papa Mike and Gma Lisa for an amazing time!!

Go Cards and Young Love

We had some friends and family over today for the Cardinal game. Since our Packers are out, my mom and Josh insisted that we all wear a Cardinal shirt.
Addie, Uncle Jared, & Auntie Carrie

Gma Lisa and her girls

Our good friend Mike came over with his kids, Mikey and Gianna. Kayleigh and Mikey loved playing with each other. He is an older man at 5 yrs, but he was so nice to Kayleigh. They told me they are "getting married for real." So cute...
Sharing video games...

On the swing outside...

Kayleigh dressed up as princess. Mikey told me she looked "beautiful". Kaykay said that Mikey was her "handsome prince".

Picnic in the Park

We spent Kristin's last day as Addie's nanny with them today. We walked to the park for a picnic. Being super mom- I forgot wipes. Of course both my girls needed to poop, with no wipes and no close bathroom we had to improvise. We did enjoy fruit, sandwiches, grass, trees, playground, and friends!

We finished the day with a Kaykay and Auntie Kristin favorite...Smores!

Zoo Lights

We love to go to the zoo throughout the year, but zoo lights is always a special treat. This year was extra fun with Gma Gerre and Auntie Jill in town.
Taylor & Addie had fun in the cozy blankets with each other...
Taylor looking at the talking giraffe...
Kayleigh was not in the mood for pictures (surprise, surprise), but was in the mood for hot cocoa...
Taylor & Kayleigh acted like it was punishment putting them facing each other and so the kicking begins...
Taylor and the $8 bag of popcorn...
Me & my Gma Gerre...
Me & my fabulous Aunt Jill...
Addie all snuggled up with her mama...
So it looks like the girls are saying "yippee" but really they are screaming and crabbing...
We will be back next year!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Great Gma Gerre. Tonight Gma Gerre and Auntie Jill flew in from WI just to see us! Oh and maybe the Packer game too! We celebrated Gma's birthday and got to visit over a few glasses of wine. We love you Gma!
