She is seriously so so cute! Poor sweet girl's four top center teeth are all coming in at once. I know- give the girl a break! Well the outer two are coming in a bit faster so she looks like a little vampire. Everyone knows how hard it is to get good teeth pictures, but you can kind of see them. They are all pretty much through the skin now so poor babes is not so crabby and the nights are getting better. We just giggle every time she smiles and we can see her little fangs!

Memorial Day
Hope everyone had a nice holiday! We are definitely summer girls. Our favorite things about summer are: family, sun, fruit, swimming, popsicles, wagon rides, cousins, bbq, chocolate mousse pie, relaxing, getting tan, and playing all day until you drop! Everything we did today!

Warning!
Let these pictures be a warning to all of the scorpions that think they can invade our home. We have tons of shoes and we are not afraid to use them. If we find you in our home your fate will be that of your friend pictured above!
I HATE scorpions. We have been finding them occasionally in the house. A few weeks ago there was a big one on the wall above Taylor's crib! We have a bug guy that comes every month, but they are still here. We were outside a lot today and the back door was open and shut a lot. This was right were we found this monster, after the rain. They make my skin crawl!

Pajamie Day
It was just one of those lazy days. Kayleigh is just getting over a little fever/cold thing and Taylor is just starting something. Poor little Taylor is getting her top 4 front teeth in all at once. Her cheeks were red, she was hot, watery glazed eyes, and just tired. She was so cuddly and would not let me put her down for a second today. The three of us girls just wanted a day to veg out and that is what we did. We stayed in our pjs all day long, watched cartoons, and played at home. Before bath time we played on the swing set and bit. Our big finish was some strawberry ice cream cones. Taylor's first ice cream cone- and yes she was definitely a big fan just like her big sis!

Happy Mother's Day!!
Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms I know. I would just like to say I have the best mom in the world. She is amazing and I would be lost without her. I have learned so much from her and strive to be like her everyday. She is also an incredible grandmother who my girls just adore.
First we had brunch at Jared & Carrie's house. Carrie's dad Tom made an awesome feast for us.

All the girls

We are not too big on lots of gift in our house, but Josh and the girls did give me some nice things. Josh surprised me with a beautiful plant for the entry way outside. I have mentioned wanting something for a while, but who knew he actually listened! Kaykay and her Dad potted it for me in the morning. Then I also got this Lisa Leonard ring. I am officially obsessed with her jewelry. It is sort of hard to see with the glare, but it reads ...j.k.t.. for Josh, Kayleigh, and Taylor of course!

Then we were off to Grandma Mona and Papa Joe's house. Mona stuffed us some more with a delicious turkey dinner.

I would also like to share this video with everyone. Nerissa found it online. I don't want eveyone to make a big deal or anything, but it is something I am sort of proud of.

You put WHAT up your nose?
Nap time is always interesting with Kaykay. So today I go in her room after her "nap"...

Kayleigh: Mommy my nose hurts, there is a booger (at least I think she is saying booger) way up in my nose.
Mommy: Let me see. (Looking all the way up her nose and seeing nothing at all.) Honey just wait and it will come out.
Kay: But it kinda hurts. I tried to blow it out, but it is stuck.
Mommy: I don't even see it. Just leave it alone.
Kay: But I shoved it way in there.
Mommy: Wait. What? What did you Shove?
Kay: (more clearly) The BUTTON!
OMG! We go to the bathroom and I tilt her head back and see nothing. The thoughts in my head with a tweezers in my hand.. okay so I could try with this tweezers and get it out, or I could accidentally shove it further into her brain, I could go to the ER myself with two kids as Josh is at work and come home with all of us with swine flu! Here goes nothing. I can maybe see the edge of the button. Kayleigh is very calm because she just wants it out. I lean her far back and in goes the tweezers. I feel like the game Operation as I try not to touch her or the tip of the button. Well I got it out!
After I told Josh he responds, "Did you explain to her that we don't put things in our nose?" Sure didn't! I actually walked her around the house pointing out small objects that she could lodge into her nose, but told her to only do this when Mommy is at work and Daddy is watching you. Seriously Josh, give me some credit. Of course I explained not to shove things in your nose!

Backyard Fun
Our backyard renovation has officially begun! We have lived in our house for 6 years and have hated our backyard everyday. Maggie found this steal of a swing set from a coworker, so we decided the girls are getting bigger and in need of a real backyard. So this weekend we shoved away some rock and put up our new swing set. We of course had tons of help from our wonderful parents! We started putting rubber mulch under it tonight. Within the next few weeks we hope to maybe add some grass. I will keep you updated on our progress. Kayleigh and Taylor absolutely LOVE it! We bought Taylor a baby swing that I think she could just live in. Kayleigh is such a monkey and loves to climb, climb, climb. When she first saw it this morning she just kept saying, "It is amazing. Thank you. It is amazing." Josh and I were just beaming with excitement for them!

Yeah Kaykay!!!
Kaykay had a dry pull up ALL day long!! I really do not know how this happened. For the last year we have had her potty and she uses it sporadically. If we push it at all she totally wants nothing to do with it, "umm, maybe later." So Maggie gave us some princess pull ups that Kayleigh likes. So last week I tried them and they were basically expensive diapers. She just peed in them. She talked about the potty, but was all talk. So we used those up and that was the end of it. Well this week at Costco she spotted a box of princess pull ups. I told her she could have them but if she peed in them then I would have to throw them away. So we put a pair on, she peed in them and I tossed it in the trash. She did not like this and was mad when she had to put diapers on again. So this morning she wanted to try again. I would make her try to sit on her potty before we did anything like before a meal or before gymnastics. By the end of the day she was even telling me when she had to go! She did have a wet pull up after her nap, but that does not count yet, right? I guess like everything, it had to be on her terms, not mine. I am so very proud of her! Keep your fingers crossed for us. This could be the start of something exciting!

Play Date
We spent the day at the zoo with Kristi and Jake today. We had a nice picnic lunch and then it was off to the splash area. I thought I could get away with just having Taylor hang out with us moms by the benches, but I was very wrong. When she saw the water, she was like "get me over there." So I had to throw her suit on and let her splash. Both my girls are such water babies! Then on the way out Kaykay had a little melt down. But really what would be a day at the zoo without a tantrum? It was great to get out of the house and spend the day with great friends! I hope Luke and Kate are feeling better and can come play next time.
