Happy Halloween!!

We had a spooktacular Halloween! We started the night with dinner and trick-or-treating a Uncle Jared and Auntie Carrie's house. Kayleigh was a beautiful angel and Taylor was a little devil. Taylor was so good for me doing her hair. I knew she would not wear horns, so I tried to make my own. The bow tie kind of reminded me of like a chip 'n dale dancer, but she still looked adorable. Kayleigh loved her beautiful gown, but refused to call her "crown" a halo. Addison was a sweet little lady bug and Uncle Jared was a tennis player. Their neighbor hood was great. Lots of kids, decorations, and fun neighbors.
This is how every picture turns out that we try to get of all three girls. Not the most cooperative bunch...

Jared and his little bug

This was before Taylor got her sucker...

Oh yeah, Addie finally got a hold of a horn!

We then ventured over to Gma Mona and Papa Joe's house. Baby monkey Gia was there with Uncle Mike and Auntie Maggie. The girls love all of Gma Mona's fun decoration. I really should have taken a picture of the outside of the house. It is full of lights, hanging things, witches, skeletons, ghost, and everything Halloween!

We had a bit more luck snapping a picture of the group this time...

One tired little monkey...

Yes, even angels have meltdowns...

Even Daddy showed some spirit for a brief moment

Kayleigh was up with a sugar high until 11pm!! Then woke up at 2:30am requesting I bring her some toys...don't think so babe! But not to worry, both girls were up by 7am! Happy Halloween, hope everyone had a great night!!

OMG!!

A SNAKE! SERIOUSLY, A SNAKE!
We were just getting back from the park when Josh stopped us from proceeding into the garage door leading into house. I was like, oh great our first scorpion. Oh no sir, a freakin' snake. Coiled up right by our garage fridge and door. Josh decided to try and "catch" it with two sticks. I called our bug guy and animal control with zero help, so decided to just yell, "don't catch it, just kill it!" So as Josh is like moving it around with two sticks, it manages to wiggle, no slither it's way into a crack in the wall and nuzzle under the baseboard. Josh still standing with his two sticks and me screaming to get a knife, gun, bomb, whatever to destroy this invader. Josh traps it with the sword/knife thing under the baseboard. Then he had to saw off the section of baseboard. The monster is still alive and is still trying to attack Josh. I am still screaming, "kill it now!" He bashes in the head a few times and we say our goodbyes. Yes that is blood. Josh was so sure it was poisonous blood he bleached the entire floor area. It's grotesque body contracted and contorted forever until we finally sealed up the box and threw it away. I wanted to burn it, but Josh said no. We think it may have been a Gopher Snake, which is harmless, but still way creepy!
Josh doing who knows exactly what with sticks and the snake escaping into the wall...

Finally we attack back with a blade...

What up now snake?

Pig Sty

We had a pig flu invasion this week! We were driving home from the cabin Sunday afternoon and the girls were fine one minute, the next minute were tired, whiny, and a little coughing started. By 4:30pm both girls were lethargic and passed out on the couch. My girls do not fall asleep easily. Especially when family is over and we were having pizza and wings. I knew this was more than tired from a busy weekend and they were getting sick. We put them to bed early, hoping they would be better in the morning but knowing it would probably get worse. First thing Monday morning we took them into the Doctor. Both girls tested positive for H1N1 and we started tamiflu. It was a rough day. The girls did not want to eat or really even move. Kayleigh had stomach aches and diarrhea, both girls were congested. If I put Taylor down to even use the restroom poor babe would cry and cough so hard she would throw up or gag. Tuesday morning Josh and I woke up feeling just as awful, went back to the dr, tested positive and we started Tamiflu. It was a long long week!!! It would not have been too bad just being sick, but trying to be sick parents to sick kids is really really hard. Kayleigh was getting back to herself by Friday. I think Taylor starting laughing and playing again Saturday night. Josh and I were pretty good by Monday. To say the girls were clingy would be an understatement. I had to keep changing my shirt every few hours, it was wet with snot, drool, and/or vomit. I love being a mom! I am so glad it is over and we are done with it and don't need to debate the vaccine. We survived the swine!
This is our only picture from the week. We were a scary looking group that did not need to be photographed!

Thie Family Heads North

We spent three wonderful days up at the cabin in Happy Jack. It was a much needed little vacation. Carrie and Jared invited us up. It is Carrie's company cabin. The drive up was nice with all the trees. Kayleigh asked, "Mommy, why are we driving in the jungle?" This was definitely my idea of camping. The cabin is a beautiful three story log cabin in the middle of the woods with a wrap around porch, nice kitchen, fireplace, beds, and showers! We watched NO TV for three days. I loved this!! I get so sick of noggin and sprout- this was a great break. We hiked, had a campfire, ate yummy food, danced to the Beatles, and best of all spent time with family.

Taylor and I snug-a-bugging in the hammock outside.

Papa Mike and Kaykay falling off the hammock!

Taylor's favorite game is to pretend like she is sleeping. She makes a snoring sound, then yells, "Wake Up!"

Uncle Jared and Addison.

Having fun at the camp fire!

Kaykay kept saying, "Everything tastes better when you're camping!" Which we later realized is a quote from one of her movies.
Making the perfect smore!

Eating the perfect smores!

Kayleigh loves to paint. The view behind her was the perfect inspiration.

We hiked down to the bottom of this beautiful reservoir.
Gpa hiked down holding Taylor. I hiked up with her and yes I felt the burn.

This ferocious snake tried to attack Josh. It brushed right next to him. We feared for our lives. (That is not a cigarette next to him- but something much much larger.)

Papa Mike taught Kayleigh how to skip rocks.

That hike exhausted little Addie!

The girls just love Addie. I think Taylor gave her a hundred kisses a day. Addie is getting more used to their loud noises also.

We went on hike around the cabin both days. Kayleigh peed in the woods for the first time- I did not post that picture.

Kayleigh's favorite place is outside. She loves to explore, look at animals, and play around.

We had a great time! Thank you to Carrie and Jared for inviting us. Thank you also the Gma Lisa and Gpa Mike for all the great food and fun!

Kaykay vs Street

Street Wins!!

The sad part is that I almost think it look worse in person. Poor babe. We were getting into my mom's van and Kayleigh had a flower. I was standing outside the van helping her in. She decided she wanted to pick the petals off the flower and throw them outside on the parking lot, she was standing inside the van. Well, one petal dropped inside the van, she reached down to pick it up and lost her balance. She went face first into the street and then flipped over. I was standing right there, but it just happened so fast. She cried for just a minute and then was over it. I think she cries more when I won't give her a snack. She really has not complained about it since. I told her to tell people that she got into a fight with a bobcat (she always talks about bobcats) and to say she won. If you think she looks bad, you should see the bobcat!

Schnepf Farms 2009

We went to the pumpkin patch again this year. We went with Gma and Gpa Jarecki, Great Gma Gerre, Jared, Carrie, Addie, Tom and Sharon. Daddy had to work. I actually had to work also, but was able to sneak out a few hours early. The weather was perfect and we had a great day spending time with family.

Then going on the roller coaster with Tom. She screamed and laughed and loved it!!

Uncle Jared was so very patient as Kaykay took forever picking out the perfect little pumpkin.

I just love this picture of my sweet lil' pumpkin.
